The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at MUHAS is the largest and oldest among all medical school in Tanzania with a total of 12 formal academic staff who received their professional clinical and research training in various local, regional and internationally renowned universities. Clinical training is also assisted by a number of honorary lecturers and experienced Obstetricians and Gynecologists at the Muhimbili National Hospital which serve as the University’s teaching hospital.
