2nd YOUNG EAST AFRICAN HEALTH RESEARCH SCIENTISTS FORUM (YEARS’ FORUM): ENTEBBE 6th -9th AUGUST, 2018

The East African Health Research Commission (EAHRC) is an institution of the East African Community (EAC) established by EAC Heads of State on 18^th June, 2007 as a mechanism for making available to the community, advise upon all matters of health and health related research and findings necessary for knowledge generation, technological development, policy formulations, practices and related matters. EAHRC is the principal advisory institution to the EAC on Health Research and Development (R&D).

The EAHRC Secretariat is pleased to inform you that we are organizing the 2^nd Young East African Health Research Scientists Forum (YEARS’ FORUM) which will be held in Entebbe-Uganda from 6^th to 9 August 2018.

The YEARS’ FORUM is an initiative to empower East African Community (EAC) young researchers to be able to shape the future of research for health in the region. YEARS Forum was approved by the 15^th EAC Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health (EAC/Health/15^th SCM/Decision 22) and endorsed by the 35^th extraordinary Council of EAC Ministers to bring together post graduate students in health sciences from each of the EAC Partner States.

EAHRC  invite you to attend the 2^nd YEARS’ Forum which will be held in Entebbe-Uganda from 6^th to 9^th August 2018. The EAHRC will meet the cost of your attendance to the 2^nd YEARS’ Forum in terms of provision of air ticket and accommodation in accordance to the conditions of the Sponsor of this forum.

The concept note and background paper will be sent to you in due course. Please prepare for a 10 minute presentation on progress of the activities and recommendations agreed upon in the First YEARS’ Forum.
