The Orthopaedic department is also known as surgical two. This name originates from historical background. It used to be a unit of general surgery until 1986 when it became an independent department. It is located in second floor of the main hospital building.
The Department has three sections, these are:-
- General wards i.e. Room 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11
- Private wards i.e. Room 12, 13, 14 and 15 which are shared with surgical department (SI)
- Orthopaedic Rehabilitation unity
- Fracture of femur
- Fracture of tibia/ Fibular
- Cervical + Spinal cord injuries
- Fracture of radius / ulna
- Osteomyelitis
- Intertrochanteric fracture
- Supracondylar fracture
- Fracture of humerus
- Dislocation
- Fracture of ankle
- Cervical injuries
- Open fracture tibia / fibula, femur
- Intertrochanteric fracture in old age
- Spinal cord injuries with bed sore
