• In 2013 Tenwek sent several surgical teams to South Sudan, including trips to orphanages in Torit & Nyamllel and a trip to Werkok hospital. Each trip lasted two weeks and included medical clinics, health education for children and local midwives, and surgical cases performed at local government hospitals & Werkok. Teams included an attending physician and PAACS residents. Although future goals include 5 surgical outreach trips per year, conflict in South Sudan prevented further trips in 2014.
