• According to the Uganda Indicator AIDS Survey in 2011, 7.3% of Ugandan adults are HIV-positive, with a higher prevalence among women (8.2%) compared to men (6.1%).The Government of Uganda has demonstrated commitment to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic through multiple policy decisions articulated in the National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan 2015/2016 - 2019/2020. The overall goal of the National Strategic Plan is towards Zero new infections, Zero HIV and AIDS related mortality and morbidity, and Zero discrimination.
