ICAP is collaborating with the MOH to implement and evaluate a program to improve uptake of and retention in Option B+ services for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT) among adolescent and young women at six health facilities in Nyanza Province.
The program delivers an innovative package of services for adolescent pregnant and breastfeeding women including a group model, linkage to local facilities through lay counselors, psychosocial training for health care workers, training for peer supporters, and a community support network. (funded by PEPFAR through the CDC).
