Fighting against dengue vectors using the current successful vector control tools (Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets and Indoor Residual Spray) and other measures face physiological, operational and financial challenges such as emergence of insecticide resistance, vector biting time and economic constrains. This underlines the importance of investigating new control interventions against Ae. aegypti (dengue vector) which will synergistically work with the present control tools.
