Under this project, funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Jhpiego is working to ensure that eight district hospitals in Rwanda have the capacity to provide early infant male circumcision (EIMC) services and that providers are competent in the provision of safe, high-quality and sustainable EIMC services.
This project builds on Jhpiego’s previous work with UNICEF in Rwanda by: developing a pool of EIMC trainers; ensuring health care providers have the required competency to provide safe EIMC services; and ensuring that EIMC sites are equipped with devices and essential commodities to implement EIMC services.
