The name of this project, Afya Uzazi, means “healthy parenthood” in Kiswahili and describes the project’s goal to improve access to quality, client-centered and linked health care services that include family planning and reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent services.

The project’s work is focused in Baringo and Nakuru counties in Kenya. Key elements of the project include an emphasis on youth and gender interventions, a rights-based approach, data-driven decision-making and sustainability.
