About us
St. Francis Naggalama Hospital is a PNFP (Private not for profit) general 100-bed hospital founded on March 6th 1906 by Mother Kevin Kearney (the Founders of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa and the Little Sisters of St Francis).
The Management of the Hospital is taken on by the Congregation of the Little Sisters of St. Francis (LSOSF).
The Hospital is under the management of the Little Sisters of St Francis but owned by the Diocese of Lugazi.
It is the only Hospital in Mukono District and we receive patients from other Districts including Kayunga, Jinja, Wakiso, Buikwe and Kampala.
The Diocese of Lugazi has a Diocesan Health Board. The Bishop appoints the members of the Diocesan Health Board.
The Hospital has continued to work with the VHTs who have played a big role in improving the image of Naggalama.
