The Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) has a long history in Uganda.

In some regions, the Network’s institutions or their predecessors have been active for more than a century. In every endeavour, the aim is to work with the Government to help meet the needs of Uganda’s development with projects that are efficient and effective and which have a wide impact on the quality of life for citizens of the country.
