Objectives of the course:

  1. To enable students to acquire basic skillsover the wide range of disciplines in public health, to appreciate the contributions made by the different disciplines and to develop the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  2. To equip students with management skills to enable them to cope with change and to act as leaders for this change.
  3. To develop an understanding of factors affecting health, delivery of health care, and formation of health policy.
  4. To enable students carry out critical evaluation of published material and to develop the ability to interpret and apply this information in the context of public health practice.
