This web portal is the official comprehensive compendium of health information in East Africa Community (EAC). It is a dynamic, structured, and interactive single-point-of-access of health information. The key categories of the portal are; Health Directory, Health Indicators, Health A to Z, EAHRC Journals, East African Health and Scientific Conferences, and the Portal Key Resources.

The portal contains the following sections: Health Governance, Policy & Publications, Events & Alerts, Travel information, Health Support in the EAC Partner States, Opportunities and about EAHRC.
The health directory showcases the capacity available in the East African region. It provides information on health facilities, health services, health professionals, academic medical programs, health research institutions, pharmaceutical and medical industries available in East Africa.
The health indicators are key health characteristics of the EAC Partner States. They are from different national administrative levels and have been continuously compiled and analyzed by the Partner States. The indicators provide insights into the Partner States health status, health system characteristics and service performance.
They help in monitoring and evaluating key performance dimensions (health status, health system, service performance and risk factors) and thus inform health policies, guide decision making, support the delivery of an effective health service and raise general public awareness on health issues.
The Health A-Z is a list of common illnesses and conditions including their symptoms, causes and treatments. The list is written in clear and easy to comprehend language in order to bring about the awareness of the general public to common health issues. The information is designed to support the healthcare service delivery and general public participation.
EAHRC has established and manages the following Journals as one of its several knowledge management platforms. The journals contain peer-reviewed articles, original articles, reviews, short communications, surveys, commentaries, opinions, book reviews, supplementary issues, essays and reports related to advancement in medical sciences, health and health-related matters in East Africa.
1. East African Health Research Journal (EAHRJ): the Basis for Better Health Policy and Practice.
The journal provides evidence for improving health policy and practice, development of human resource capacities and skills, exchange and dissemination of health research information and advocacy of evidence generated from health research.
2. East Africa Science (EASci): Search, Discover, Develop.
The journal promotes innovative ideas, application of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in health. It publishes innovative research findings e.g. clinical trials (on investigational medicinal products, diagnostics, health technologies and solutions etc.)
