Mr Kavishe is a Research Scientist at Ifakara Health Institute, and is based at Ifakara. He holds a bachelor degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Dar es Salaam and obtained an MSc from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK. He joined IHI in 2009 as a laboratory scientist to work on molecular entomology. Mr Kavishe won a Wellcome Trust MSc fellowship in December 2014. He is currently investigating if malaria vectors can be labeled with food-based proteins, and how this approach can be exploited to understand mosquito interactions with vector control tools.
