Fredrick Edward Makumbi is currently an associate professor in the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics-School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University-Kampala.He graduated with a Bachelor of Statistics (Bstat, Hons) at Makerere University Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (ISAE) in 1993, and a MHS (2000) and PhD (2004) degrees with majors in epidemiology and population studies from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2000 he was awarded The Edward J. Dehne Award in Population Dynamics, Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health, Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health.
