The general pharmacology unit is a unit within the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. The unit undertakes teaching undergraduate, postgraduate and Master of Science students. The unit gives an overview of the various mechanisms of action of drugs; the basic concepts of identification, classification and regulation of pharmacological targets; secondary and unwanted effects of drugs, drug interactions and the clinical evaluation of drugs.
