Stefan Swartling Peterson trained as a public health physician in Sweden, did his MPH at Harvard and PhD from Uppsala University with field-work in the Central African Republic and Tanzania. Stefan has appointments as visiting Professor with Makerere University School of Public Health (MakSPH), and is Professor of Global Health at Uppsala University and Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Stefan worked for WHO in the Uganda Ministry of Health 1998-2000 and at the School of Public Health 2004-7
