Paul Bangirana

Biography

Paul Bangirana is Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry and a part time lecturer in the School of Psychology Makerere University. He graduated with a BSc majoring in Psychology from Makerere University in 2000, an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Makerere University in 2003 and joint PhD in Neuropsychology between Makerere University and Karolinska Institutet in 2011. He has been involved in research since 2003 looking at the neurocognitive effects of HIV/AIDS infection and cerebral malaria in Ugandan children. Other studies are focusing on providing rehabilitation and adjuvant therapies to treat/prevent these neurocognitive deficits.
