With funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Jhpiego is working in Uganda and Kenya to expand contraceptive method mix for women seeking to plan their families. Under this project, Jhpiego is:
1) improving technical capacity of selected health facilities for provision of implant removal services in selected project districts; 2) sustaining the quality of implant services in the public facilities in the selected districts;
3 ) strengthening linkages between health facilities and communities in accessing quality implant services; and
4) collecting information, strengthening learning and documenting/disseminating best practices for high-quality, scalable, replicable strategies for implant removal services.
