In Burundi, the Roads to a Healthy Future (ROADS II) project is designed to increase access to high-quality facility- and community-based HIV and broader health services for mobile populations and local residents living in Karusi, Kayanza, Kirundo and Muyinga provinces and the capital city, Bujumbura.
The project, which is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, works with pregnant women; populations at risk of contracting HIV, including long-distance drivers, female sex workers and other groups; people living with HIV; and orphans and other vulnerable children.
