• The Eye Unit was established in 1975 as part of a collaborative effort between the hospital and Christoffel Bliden Mission (CBM), a German non-governmental organization (NGO).In 1989 a new eye ward and theatre block were added, funded by CBM and EZE, that are charitable German organizations.
