• Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute provides Prosthetics and Orthotics services. MOI orthopaedic workshop has qualified personnel including Prosthetist / Orthotist, Orthopaedic Technologists, Orthopaedic Technicians and Orthopaedic Shoe Makers to perform Prosthetics and Orthotics services.

    These services provided are:

    • Fabricating and fitting of artificial limbs both upper and lower limbs.

    • Fabrication and fitting of different foot wear and foot wear adaptations.

    • Fabricating and fitting of supportive and corrective devices such as;

    - Spinal corset for different spinal deformities and pathologies.

    - Knee Ankle foot Orthosis (KAFO) for polio victims, Paraplegic patients etc.

    - Ankle foot Orthosis (AFO) for correction of deformities such as congenital talipes Equinovarus (Club foot), Pes valgus (Flat feet)
