About us
In Tanzania, MSH works at national and regional levels to increase access to medicines through the country's successful Accredited Drug Dispensing Outlet (ADDO) initiative.
We are also helping women adhere to HIV treatment by instituting appointment keeping and tracking systems at clinics.
Our country team has technical expertise in a range of areas, and we work with several government health agencies and civil society groups.
As part of the effort to increase access to quality pharmaceutical products and services, LaunchDSI facilitates the development, implementation, and scale-up of accredited drug seller initiatives through public-private sector collaboration.
Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, LaunchDSI will establish a technical resource center in MSH's Tanzania office, which will provide small start-up grants and technical assistance to help African countries adapt and replicate the ADDO model.
In addition, MSH's Systems for Improved Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS) Program in Tanzania provides technical assistance in pharmaceutical management for tuberculosis, with a focus on increasing the availability of quality-assured TB medicines.
